Here we are approaching the end of summer and before you know it, we’ll be pulling out those winter coats and scarves. Living in California, I don’t get much use out of a giant winter coat, but I do visit family on the east coast often. Every time I arrive in the winter, I wish my fall wardrobe was just a little bit more chic. So this year I decided to get on trend. I’ve done the research and found four fall trends I think you’ll love.
Oversized Overcoats
You can go as big as you want this year! Personally, I prefer a more masculine looking silhouette, like this tailored Saint Laurent look. This sophisticated overcoat blends retro broad shoulders with modern metallic accents making it the perfect combination of fall 2018 fashion trends.
Floral, floral, floral!
Who doesn’t love a long floral print dress? Johanna Ortiz captures the feeling of fall with this feminine and flirty dress. A modern take on the balloon sleeve, adorned with ruffles and perfectly placed pleating, this dress is a modern mix of eras.
Head to Toe Leather
Get out all the leather you own and put it on at the same time. All of it. At once. Saint Laurent shows off this cute leather jacket in an all black look. Paired with a leather belt, leather accented hat, and patent leather platforms, you can’t go wrong with leather this fall.
Mad for Metallics
3 words: Futuristic. Metallic. Suit. Balmain, you make me wanna get funky. I love the spectacular tailoring and modern shoulder. Can I wear this everyday?
To sum it all up, fall 2018 is about revamping past trends with modern sophistication. I’m definitely feeling all the floral prints. I love how many color combos you can get into one look and the infinite variety of florals to choose from.
